Fabuland® Housewives.
Find out how he feels about
being killed off
and what's next.

Q: Oh no. So, you’re dead now, huh?
A: Yeah. Unfortunately. It was a lot of fun while it lasted. I’ll miss everyone a lot especially Hannah (Hippopotamus, Holly Hippo). She’s so talented and just a pleasure to work with. But what a cool way to go. That was fun, being killed by a lawnmower.

Q: That was pretty edgy for television. How’d they do it? Did they do a plaster cast of you and cut it into pieces?
A: No, that was me. We’re plastic. We come apart.

Q: When did they tell you your character was going to be killed off?
A: I knew from the beginning. Patricia (the producer) is a friend of mine, and we talked about it during contract negotiations. She said no one was getting more than a one year contract, but that new contracts would be negotiated after the Nielsen ratings came in. So I asked what the advertising sales looked like, so she hinted to me that I wouldn’t be eligible for the second season. I actually read for Fenix originally. It didn’t feel right and I found out a couple of weeks later that Franklin (Fox, Fenix Fox) had landed the job. Patricia called me a couple of months after that and told me that they had added a character that she thought I was perfect for and that was Franklin. It was weird because Franklin and I have been friends for ages and now I was playing a character with his name.

Bailey Bulldog finds Franklin murdered in his kitchen.

Q: So, Franklin Fox wasn't part of the original story?
A: No, actually Holly was originally married to Bailey Bulldog, the detective who discovers Franklin's body. For very specific reasons that I can't give away, my character was added and Bailey was made single and reduced to a guest star contract.

Q: Does that create tension between you and Bartie (Bulldog, Bailey Bulldog)?
A: Not at all. Everyone loves Bartie and Bertie (Bulldog, Barney Bulldog). They're both real detectives and they bring such a fun energy to the set. They really are bewildered by and enjoy the television industry. Bartie is actually dating Bonnie (Bunny, Betsy Bunny). They have so much fun with this that it helps us to have more fun too.

Q: Is it sad to leave after only five episodes when Franklin and your other friends are staying, especially considering that Franklin has always had more success? Like after your show Fox and Fox was cancelled in the 80's. His career took off and yours sort of levelled off.
A: I’ll be there through the end of the season. I’ve got some pretty cool flash back scenes. I can’t give you any details but I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed. As far as jealousy goes, no. Fenix and I are great friends are always happy for the other's successes.

Q: Sounds like jealousy.
A: That's not really a question.

Q: Sounds like a jealous actor is getting defensive. Who do you get along with best on the set?
A: Franklin and Hannah, of course. I also like to hang out with Gabe (Gorilla, Gavin Gorilla) and Boris (Bulldog, Brody Bulldog). We play cards during our long days. We like to hang out in Gabe’s trailer. He has a video iPod.

Q: What’s next for you?
A: I’ll be hosting a reality show in the Fall on Fox, called Who Want to Marry a Blind Midget Millionaire and guest starring on Lost.

Q: Ooh. Can you tell us any secrets about Lost?
A: No, but I can tell you that I’ll be playing a fox.

Freddy is obviously angry angry angry about being fired. I've never sensed so much bitterness. I hope the famous friendship between Freddy and Franklin can survive his poor attitude. You would think in this industry he could let these things go. A veteran actor like him should know that it's a waste of energy. Bitter.

Until next time
